Check-In:
Check-in is 2:00 - 3:00pm on Sunday. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a counselor who will help you with your child's belongings and show you around the property, as well as introduce you to the director. Make sure to sit down with the director before leaving to go over all paperwork and to give any medicaitons or written instructions to her at this time. "Get to know you" activities will start at 3:45pm. Parents, although we will be very busy, please feel free to explore.

Safety Rules: Please discuss these rules with your child prior to camp.
1. Campers may not approach the pond or boat without a lifejacket and lifeguard on duty.
2. Helmets must be worn when riding bikes or horses (we supply horseback riding helmets.)
3. Children may not enter horse pastures without a counselor.

What to Bring : Please bring no more than one average-sized suitcase.
Required:
- Lifevest - well fitted. One with three straps is safest in the river. Two straps, minimum.
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Horseback riding boots or heavy shoes with a large heel if horseback riding.
- Bike helmet if bringing bicycle
- Water-proof watch (so that your child knows when his or her next activity begins.)
- Water-proof sunscreen (please tell your child to lather up every morning! We will watch for sunburns!)
- Clothing to include warm jacket for evenings and long pants for horseback riding
- Toiletries (insect repellent is helpful on occasion)
- Bathing suit, beach towel, and bath towel
Suggested:
- Bicycle (there are acres of great bike riding, and each child is offered a bike excursion and picnic on nearby island.)
- Disposable Camera
- Book (we encourage children to read before bed and upon awakening)
- Self addressed stamped envelopes, stationary, and pencils
- $5 for treats (maximum)
*Please do not send your child with anything you do not want to risk losing. Also, marking your child's belongings with his or her name means more items actually returning home!
Please do not bring cell phones, iPods, or other electronic devices. Also, no candy or gum please.
Homesickness: Some campers experience homesickness the first day or two, as they are getting to know everyone, which is quite normal. It is agreed among professionals that calling home often only aggravates the problem. Parents, please feel confident that if homesickness is sustained, we will call and consult you. Also, we will notify you of any illness or injury more serious than the common cold, sore throat, minor cut, etc.
