Hello to all prospective campers and parents. I know what an important decision it is to send your child to the right summer camp. I think you will find it with us at Camp Cavaignac, a small camp of 35 children, where each child is an important member of the Cavaignac community. With all the open space, animals and different activities, both artistic as well as athletic, there is sure to be something to enchant each child. The French style facility belongs to my husband and me so I am personally familiar with every square inch of it. Having raised three children, I can assure you that Cavaignac is a wonderful place for children to be children.

To tell you a little bit about myself, I studied fine arts at U.C. Berkeley and with my interests in the arts and my love for children, in 1988 I founded non-profit S.A.G.E. Arts, a 501c3 public benefit organization dedicated to supporting the fine arts and to engaging children in the arts. Camp Cavaignac is one of our projects and my personal favorite. Between the spirited children that attend and our warm, responsible and talented counselors, a week at Cavaignac is a week to remember. Good luck with the rest of the school year and I hope I get the chance to meet you and your parents this summer.

    Sincerely,
    Robyn Brown, Director

Each summer, Camp is a joyous experience for all who participate. Counselors and campers alike come together for two of the most carefree, active, kind and beautiful weeks of the year to share friendship, skills, talent and time. I graduated UCLA in 2004 and now live in Santa Monica and work in Beverly Hills. During my free time, I love to be in the sun, play tennis, bike from Santa Monica to Malibu and back, practice yoga, cook healthy vegetarian food and snow and water-ski.
Every year, for the past eight years, I look forward to returning to Camp where I reunite with old friends, play hard, eat s'mores at campfire and make new friends too. Camp is a time that allows me to teach and practice the parts of life that inspire me most, every minute for two whole weeks. On 100 acres of beautiful land, children and adults step out of the reality of every day life and enter a space that encourages participation, kindness and fun, bringing to light the purest part of us all.
